What is freetimefighters.com? The question gets asked over and over again and even I don’t know what to reply sometimes because it changes all the time. When I first started the website I had in my mind Superhero’s of leisure in battle to save recreation from extinction. I wanted to give people a laugh or something to dream about. The thought of people making a new trail in life against the norm of what we all know is reality or maybe just pushing people a little bit to think about leaving the safety of the mundain. To leave the security of the TV set and venture out into the world to either create, live the dream’s they dream or make some kind of impact on the way we are forced to exist and show that this life is more then someone just out to make a profit. I also saw people that had too much freetime being active and doing something to change the world we currently all share. Everything from volunteer work to standing up against big oil as an example or working to make a better lifestyle and not just working endlessly for money and loosing the part of you that was young and had a dream at the start. In truth most people do fight for the freetime to do anything these days. All the presures that we all sucumb too pushing and pulling us away from having anytime at all to relax and enjoy a moment of peace or to take the time out to do something we know we love. It’s an idea. It’s a dream. It’s a lifestyle change. It’s a reality. We must all keep fighting for our freetime and those of us with too much of it are needed to make positive changes here on earth. Little things like writting a letter to your local MP. Or big things like taking a stand for something you truely believe in.
